fixing the paragraph

Indian reservations are areas of land given to Native American tribes by the United States Government. In the 1850-60s the Government decided to move Indians to land that was unwanted by settlers. Many of the tribes did not want to move to new lands and refused. Soon the Government sent in the U.S. Army and forced them to move to the new reservation lands. This caused many bloody wars between the Indians and the U.S. Army. Eventually, most Indians moved to the reservations. Today, reservations are run by their own tribal council, and less than half of Indians live on the reservations. Many of the Indians who live off the reservations live in large Western cities, like Phoenix and Los Angeles.

One of My senses.

If I could keep one of my senses it'd probably be tasting. I love food and drinks and it would suck if I couldn't taste what I was eating. I probably wouldn't eat if I couldn't taste it.
Sight would probably be in second place because I could learn sign language easily and it would just be crappy to be blind. I love looking at beautiful things and people. I would definitely be missing out on life if I couldn't see the world.

New family tradition

I have my favorite aunt and my three baby cousins living in Idaho. If I could choose something that we do every year for the holidays then I'd probably say no matter what, we either have to go to Idaho or they have to come to Oregon. I barely see them anymore and I miss them all a ton! I get to see them in the summer and they come to town randomly, but I would love for our family to be together on the holidays because that's all that matters to me. I don't wanna grow apart from my family.

About my personality

I have a very happy, outgoing, funny personality (except for when I'm mad). I'm very nice. I have a hard time focusing on things I'm not really interested in. I get angry very easily. Mostly when people say the wrong thing. When I'm mad I will yell, take it out on walls, or find any reason to start an argument with someone. When I'm happy I am extremely nice and I'll do things to help others. My friends say I'm very fun to be around and I'm good at making awkward situations less awkward. They love how I can have fun no matter where we're at or what we're doing.

Favorite TV show/ My favorite Holiday

I am more of a reality TV person. I like reality shows like the real world, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, or The Kardashians. I like those shows because they are real and not just people acting it out. Yes, I like fake/acted shows to like Ghost Hunters or George Lopez but I think reality shows are so much more interesting.

My favorite holiday would probably have to be Christmas. I don't like Christmas because of all the gifts, but I like it because no matter what, on Christmas all of our family always gets together. I get to see all my baby cousins and aunts/uncles. I'm really excited for this years Christmas because my sister and I are thinking about driving to Idaho to visit my three cousins and my favorite aunt instead of them coming here! I also like Christmas because we always make the best sweets in the world! My favorite would probably be the almond roca and choc brownies with this cream cheese stuff on top.

How do Junior & Rowdy look at the world differently?

Rowdy just kind of takes whatever he has and lives with it. He doesn't really try to accomplish things it seems. He just goes with the flow and beats people up to make himself feel better. While Junior wants a future and is moving forward by going to a bigger and better school instead of staying at the other school learning nothing pretty much. It seems like Rowdy feels like he doesn't really have anything coming for him and feels like life is nothing. Then there is Junior who feels like he can do stuff and wants to do stuff so he does the right thing and goes to school in a way different environment.

What I think the title Means

I think that the title is The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian because he goes to an Indian school, is half Indian, and he learns that they treated the Indians badly. The teacher ends up having a one on one talk with Junior and he prefers him to go to Reardan High because Junior is different than the others. I also think that it says Part-Time Indian because the first school he went to was full on Indians and the school he's going to now is completely opposite.

My Impressions of Life On the Reservation

If I were to live there then I don't think I'd like it. I think that it's messed up that they didn't treat the Indians very well. If I were an Indian then I would definitely do what he did and switch schools to go to the other one. I think that living in that town would be depressing and it'd make me mad just seeing and getting treated like dirt when all you're trying to do is attend school and get a good education. I don't think any kid deserves to get hurt or treated that way because kids are innocent and too young to understand what's going on.

What it'd be like to move away

I think I'd be weird and scary to move away from home. Some people say it's good to move on and move away from where you grew up but some people say it's better if you stay close to home and be around everything/everyone you grew up around. I actually plan to move to Vegas in the future. I plan to go to college to become an ultra sound tech. Then once I'm done with that I plan to move to Vegas, continue doing that but on the weekend I wanna be a party promoter. If I change my mind about being a party promoter then I might think about moving to Boise, Idaho to be near my baby cousins and my favorite aunt. To move away from my home town would be really scary. I'd be around people I didn't know. I would most likely get home sick at some point. I would have to meet new people which is very nerve wracking. Then again it'd also be pretty cool because it'd be a fresh start.

During my Break/About School

The whole time I wasn't here I pretty much ran errands with my sister all the time. I also helped out with my parents because stuff was going on with the shop but now my dad is opening another shop in Scio which is way exciting! I was also job hunting. I found this place called Plato's Closet and I'll hopefully be getting a job there. Plato's Closet is pretty much a clothing store that takes name brand clothes that are barely worn and sells them. It's a pretty decent store and has cute name brand clothes :). I got into some trouble in the past that makes me not able to get my license till I'm either seventeen or eighteen but I'm seventeen now so hopefully I can get it. If I can get my license then I'm gonna help my dad drive cars to and from the shop and it'll be easier because I won't have to depend on my parents for a ride to school/work everyday. I pretty much stopped coming because a lot of stuff was going on and I started slacking but now I'm ready to settle down, quit slacking, and get the job done. It sucks because I love coming here in the morning when not too many people are here because noise distracts me but then again I hate waking up so early in the morning because I'm definitely not a morning person. I love sleep! I always tell myself that it's just an hour and a half and then I get to go home. So it kinda helps motivate me to go!

Why People Write Poetry

I think people write poetry because it's meaningful. Some people write poetry because it might mean something to them. Like they can write about their life or how they feel and others write just because. About two years ago when my boyfriend/best friend died I was writing in a journal and I would talk to him in it. I would mostly let him know how much I miss him or I would write down the good memories we had. If I were to write poetry then I'd definitely write about stuff that means something. Like If I like the weather that day or how my life is going. Poetry to me is like country. It talks about life stuff. It's not like rap. Rap just talks about getting money and living the good life but country talks about real life stuff and means a lot more to people. It's way more understanding.

Place I Never Want To Go Again.

I wouldn't want to experience going to this scary place in bend. My family and I went to this cave in bend and It's so dark in the cave that you have to rent out these lights that they give you before you go in. We took a ton of pictures in the cave. I kind of had a weird vibe the whole time. A creepy/chill vibe. It looked like there was a person figure in some of the pictures with us. It was so crazy because we took a picture of nothing and you can totally see a family in the picture. A mom holding a baby, a dad, and two kids. It was the most scary but interesting thing I've ever seen. Then when we finally got out of the cave there was a stand with a lot of information on it so we sat and read it before we left. It was talking about how indians used to live there in that same cave and there was an indian family who died all together! So then we figured out that in the picture that we took it was actually the family that we were seeing! It was amazing but scary. It'd definitely be an adventure to go and bring some friends there but it would freak me out just knowing what I know about it.

The Place I Most Consider Home.

The place I feel most at home would probably be my actual house. It has my family and all my stuff (computer, tv, my kind of food, my kitten, etc.) Family is pretty much the only thing I need to feel at home. My family means the world to me. My home is very cozy/relaxing, fun, everyone is respectful, and if you ever need peace and quiet then you can lock yourself in a room or you can sit out back by the pond and listen to the very relaxing waterfall. I have three pets. A dog, a cat, and a kitten. I think to have a house feel like a home you atleast need one pet (a dog or kitty.)

Ideal Day

My ideal day would start out in Seaside. I would bring a lot of my close friends. I would have a bon fire on the beach, stay for at least a night, and just relax. The sand there is so amazing and so thin. There are also a lot of little shops so you can get souvenirs. Then the next day I would drive to the biggest mall or close to the biggest mall. It depends on how far it is and I would go shopping, walk around, meet new people, etc. I would definitely make time to go to Boise, Idaho to visit with my three baby cousins! They would be so excited and surprised to see me. I helped my aunt Linda raise them. The kids call me mommy number two. The first little one is now seven, the second child is five and a half, and the third one is three or four now. The oldest is a girl and the two youngest are boys. They are so adorable! I would end my day off by taking the kids somewhere fun or adventurous. I would take them to a water park or wait till night time to take them to a high hill to see the stars and the city lights.

Most Embarrasing Moment

My most embarrasing moment would probably be about two months ago. Two months ago I was walking through the mall and saw this really cute guy. We made eye contact and I smiled. Then all of a sudden I tripped and fell right in front of him and whoever else was around. I'm not even sure how I fell but it was definately because of my shoe. I ended up on the ground. It was really funny and embarrasing.

If I Lost Everything In a Fire

If I lost all my stuff in a fire then I would try to save my kitty, Charlie. I would definitely try to save all my clothes, my computer, my tv and of course anything my family needed. The computer is a way to communicate so I'd definitely want that. We could also look up houses/apartments on the computer so we could try and find another home as soon as we could. I would want my clothes because my parents would probably spend a lot of their money on new house supplies, stuff that we needed, or a house period. So they would probably not have the extra money to give my sister and I for clothes.

Favorite Food

My favorite kind of home made food would probably have to be my dad's Velveeta pasta. He puts zuccini, sqaush and mushrooms in it. It's so good! My favorite restaraunt food would be either Mexican or Chinese. I like Mexican and Chinese because it has really good spices/flavors to it. When I get Chinese my family and I normally order egg foo yung, fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and shrimp. When I get Mexican food I either get tacos, enchiladas, or burritos, But either one I get I prefer it to be spicey! My favorite of all tacos, enchiladas, and burritos would have to be chicken. I always have them put chicken, lettuce, sour cream, hot salsa, and guacamole on it.

Any Job In The World

In the future I plan on being an Ultra Sound Tech. I would prefer to ultra sound pregnant women instead of broken arms or legs. I'm okay with doing it all though. I think you only have to go to college from somewhere inbetween two to four years. It's a long time but it will be worth it because it's something I want to do. Plus a lot of other jobs take much longer. In my free time I want to help the unfortunate and give kids things that they need like food, shoes, toys, etc.

Parents and Their Children

I think parents shouldn't judge their kids friends. They should be there for their kids and help them if they need help. I don't think that parents should ever kick their kids out of the house, especially if they're a minor. If your kid is doing bad in a class or anywhere else then they should talk to them about it before punishing them or help them out if that's what is needed.

My mom is there for me 100%. I've been in some trouble in the past and disappointed her but it took me four times till I actually learned my lesson. Her and I can talk about anything. I'm very open with her and she doesn't judge me. She's there to listen and give me great advice. She's not only my mother but she's a good friend. She's been there through thick and thin my whole life. Kids should be able to be open with their parents just like I am with mine. If that's all you do is punish your kids for the bad mistakes they do then it makes them want to do it again. Parents need to be more understanding or your kids will start to grow away from you.

My Opinion On Obama

I agree with Obama because I think that you do need an education to accomplish anything unless you wanna work at a gas station the rest of your life. Even working there I'm sure you need some sort of education. You need to be enrolled in school to be what you wanna be like a cop, doctor, therapist, ect; it wont just be handed to you, even to get your license! I also agree that there is no reason for you to skip school or for your homework to not be done. You can't blame anyone but yourself for it because its your homework, your job and your responsiblity not anyone elses. You will definitly need to work hard for it and you might have those times where you feel like giving up but in the end it will all be worth it.

my favorite thing to do

In my free time when I'm not in school I like to help my parents out at their auto body shop. At the body shop I help my dad drive cars, tell the workers what they are supposed to do, or help my mom get car information down. If I'm not doing that then I'll usually hang out with my sister. We normally go to the mall, run errands, drive around, or workout. When we work out we usually go to stats lake in Keizer to jog, I think it's about a mile or a little over a mile long.

Malia's interesting Summer

My summer was really fun.
The first exciting thing about my summer was prom weekend, we rented a hummer stretch limo and went to the beach to stay at a beach house. The beach house was huge! It went upstairs and downstairs, Even had a hottub! Everything was going well until me and my sister ended up fighting. It was so odd because we never fight but for some reason we ended up swinging on eachother. We made up after we calmed down and had a blast the rest of the trip. Other than all the drama that happened everything was really fun and we had a great time!
